History

In 2002, Ms. Chander Kanta Sharma, a UK based entrepreneur, started a wedding venue known as “Roshal Garden” at Bhosari which was inaugurated by tourism minister Shri Chandrakant Chhajed. The beautiful 2 acre landscaped garden venue soon became the most desired locations for all types of functions.

Being awarded every year as the no.1 garden venue in PCMC area, Ms Sharma opened a restaurant in 2005. Having accumulated much experience in the business of hospitality over a span of 14 years, Ms. Chander Kanta Sharma decided to offer hospitality Education to the youth of the Roshal Garden Campus with the introduction of Janki Devi College of Hotel Management, affiliated to the Maharashtra State Board of Vocational education and the UGC (University Grants Commission). Inaugurated by Minister of Higher and Technical Education, Shri Rajesh Tope in 2013, Janki Devi College has been providing a 100% result in terms of academics and placements with international chains such as J.W. Marriot, Hilton, Novotel, Pride, Le Meridien, Hyatt, Westin and many more.

With the concept of bringing the trend in creating better employability and developing personalities through soft skills, Ms. Sharma further started a Spoken English and Personality Development Company by the name of “Janki Devi Soft Skills Centre”.
